James Henry Davis, 80, of Danville, died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2005) at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at Pape Memorial Home and Cremation Garden, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, IL 61832; A family gathering and visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 at Pape's; Burial: Danville National Cemetery.
Jim was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Potomac, Ill., the son of Homer James and Velma Drollinger Davis. He attended Potomac schools and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He had formerly worked at Paxton Wholesale Grocery. He had owned and operated Davis Electric and Refrigeration from 1962-2001. He had been an active member of the Danville Auxiliary Police and an avid bowler.
Jim married Margie Lucille Dunning on July 2, 1944, in Danville and she preceded him April 1, 2001. Survivors include: two sons, Harry (Darlene) of Tyler, Texas, and Michael (Barbara) Davis of Oakwood; three grandchildren, Scott Davis, Melissa (Ricky) Shields of Whitehouse, Texas, and Darin (Pam) Davis of Shoals, Ind.; a brother, Reese Davis of Tamarac, Fla.; and three sisters, Helen (Chester) Weage of Eau Claire, Mich., Mary Belle (Paul) Boen of Alvin and Lucy (Quint) Slevin of Danville. Don Bliss Drollinger "Pops" 1929 ~ 2010 Don peacefully passed awaySeptember 7, 2010 surrounded by his family. It has been quite ajourney. He has returned to his Heavenly Father and sweetheart Verna.What a joyous reunion it must have been. Don was born May 4, 1929 toAllan and Nancy Drollinger in Roosevelt, Utah. He had great love andrespect for his family especially his mother. He was the secondyoungest of 13 children. He remained very close to his brothers andsisters. Don married Verna M. Shipley in 1951 and set roots down inthe Salt Lake Valley. He worked for Hinckley Dodge over 40 years untilhis retirement in 1990. He loved the Hinckley family and appreciatedthe years he spent with them. Don loved a good day of hard work andknew the meaning of a hard day's work. He tried to instill thosevalues in his children and grandchildren. He was a perfectionist inall he did. A job worth doing is a job worth doing well. He loved totinker and project. Give him a night's rest to think something overand he could fix or invent just about anything. Don loved his familyand cherished his grandkids. He would do any and everything for hisfamily. He was a very generous loving and caring individual. Don issurvived by his daughter Judie (Robert) Golightly and a son MichaelDrollinger. His brother Dee (Gwen) Drollinger; sister Velma Dart;sister Pearl (Ken) Workman; four grandchildren Dawn (Adam) Davis,Jennifer (Zane) Tyson, Derek R. Golightly, Austin J. (A.J.) Golightlyand two great-grand-children Madison L. Davis, Heidi M. Davis. He ispreceded in death by his parents; nine siblings and his wife Verna.Don had made the decision to donate his body to the University of UtahBody Donor Program. He hopes to make a difference in other people'slives through donation and medical research. The family also wants tothank the wonderful nurses and staff at Hearts for Hospice and HomeHealth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010at 11:30 a.m. in the LDS chapel located at 9475 N Mustang Way, EagleMountain, Utah. You are invited to share memories with family andfriends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. before the memorial service.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Bruce Thornsbrough will officiate. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Myrle Davis Smith, 83, died July, 5 1998 in Draper, Utah.

Myrle was born September 14, 1914 in Austin, Utah to Prentice Perry and Sylvia Lowe Davis. She married Owen Leroy Smith April 4, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Myrle was a beautician for many years, a profession she enjoyed. She was devoted to her husband and family and led a life of service in both church and community. She loved music and instilled that love in her children. She served two full-time missions with her husband.

She is survived by three children, Dianne Hyde, Marjorie (Douglas) Dorton, Raymond O. (Linda) Smith; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and son-in-law, Jay Kent Hyde.

Services will be held Friday, July 10, 1998, 11 a.m. at the Monument Park 6th Ward chapel, 1930 South 2100 East, SLC. Friends may call at Memorial Estates Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, one hour prior to services at the church.

Myrna Donnel was born on July 12, 1937 to Dale and Lela Davis in Grand River, Iowa. After Myrna graduated from Grand River High School she met Charles Elmer Trullinger and went on to have two children, Charles & Gary Trullinger.

In 1988 Myrna married Phillip Donnel. After retiring in 1997, Myrna and Phil moved to Gate, Oklahoma where she spent her time snowmobiling, traveling and spending time with family.

Myrna was predeceased by Mervin, Harold "Butch" & Carl "Dean" Davis. She is survived by her sister Maxine, sons Chuck and Gary, and grandsons Britton and Brody.

Myrna will be buried in Osceola, Iowa.

Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.

Looking for info about Albert Bomar Trollinger (SC), who sometimesused the name of Bomar MORRISON & esp. 1st wife, who was Cherokee &"left her children with their grandparents & returned to thereservation". Have received info that her Indian named may have beenWhite Cloud but was named "Bonnie" by the whites. One of her children,Nannie Talula Trollinger, was my G-grandmother.
Nannie married Joseph Calvin DAVIS (TN), one of their sons-BerryClifford Davis (GA.) was my grandfather. He married Cordelia GOINS(KY.). Their daug., Reba Jewell married Louis LAWSON (OH).
