7419 | I23518 | Dickey | Annie Elizabeth | 3 Jun 1887 | 4 Aug 1966 | 0 | She is identified as "Annie Elizabeth Dickey" on her daughter, Lola's death certificate. There is a Dickey Mill Road in Mebane, Alamance, NC, no doubt named after a relative. That fact combined with many more examples of spelling, it appears the proper spelling of the name is 'Dickey' and not 'Dicky'. It appears Annie's brother is Charlie Garfield Dickey who was born abt 1890 in NC and resided in Haw River, NC per the 1920 Census and was married to Fannie. Also ref his WWI DRC. His WWI DRC indicates he was employed by Trolinger (difficult to read due to poor image quality). On her son, Charles Hill Trollinger Jr's death certificate, where it asks for the mother's maiden name, she is identified as "Annie Russel". 1900 United States Federal Census Name Annie Dickey Age 15 Birth Date Jun 1884 Birthplace North Carolina, USA Home in 1900 Graham, Alamance, North Carolina House Number 1 Sheet Number 52 Number of Dwelling in Order of Visitation 874 Family Number 913 Race Black Gender Female Relation to Head of House Daughter Marital Status Single Father's Name Daniel Dickey Father's Birthplace North Carolina, USA Mother's Name Jennie Dickey Mother's Birthplace North Carolina, USA Can Read Y Can Write N Can Speak English Y Neighbors View others on page Household Members (Name) Age Relationship Daniel Dickey 46 Head Jennie Dickey 38 Wife Mack Dickey 18 Son Annie Dickey 15 Daughter George Dickey 13 Son Galilee Dickey 9 Son Mamie H Dickey 3 Daughter William Crawford 20 Boarder Essie Dixon 17 Boarder |
