8107 I34122  Drollinger  Amy Jo  7 Apr 1974    Because Kathy Jo Peterson-Drollinger's three children's births were 1974 (Amy), 1975 (Angela) and 1976 (Roger) tightly grouped sequentially, and because Amy's marriage DOES identify her father as Roger Clay Drollinger, the argument can also be equally made that Amy is in fact a daughter of Roger. If this is not the case, one would expect that she will contact us with the correction once she becomes aware of it.

From the marriage evidence it looks like her mother was either not married to Roger at the time or gave her daughter her maiden name rather than used the infamous Roger Clay's surname.

That our petitioner died intestate leaving a widow (seven lined through and twelve written above it) children.

The estate file of Peter Trollinger has some points to ponder. It mentions Andrew Drollinger as the eldest son. Andrew's name is spelled with a D while his signature is Trollinger.

The petition of Andrew Drollinger oldest son and heir at law of Peter Drollinger late of Franconia Township in the County aforesaid deceased.

The file mentions Peter, Jacob, Mary, John, Henry, George, Hannah, Catherine intermarried with George Springer, Joseph, Elizabeth and Margaret who is now deceased leaving 11 children; (the following are the children of Margaret) Sarah intermarried with Christian Tily, Elizabeth, Andrew, John, Joseph, Samuel, Hannah, Catherine, Mary, Lydia and blank. The last 5 being in their minority.

Montgomery County, PA, deed book 35 page 538, dated 21 Dec 1821 records the sale of a 9 acre 35 perch property in Franconia from Andrew Trollinger of Germantown, Philadelphia County, Innkeeper and Susanna his wife to George Springer, tailor of Franconia. The deed states 4 acres had belonged to Peter Trollinger, When Peter died intestate, his eldest son, Andrew, was given the 4 acres. The other 5 acres came from Andrew Trumbore, who willed it to his daughter, Sophia, the wife of Peter Trollinger who was to have it for her natural life. George Trollinger and Henry Hartzell witnessed.

8113 I16712  Drollinger  Andreas   27 Jun 1767  prior 1845  We know Peter Drollinger of Franconia (now Philadelphia) spelled his name as Drollinger. His son Andreas or Andrew was a Drollinger who was variously was recorded as Trollinger and signed his name to the probate of Peter record as Trollinger. His marriage record was as Drollinger. Andrew's children found in the records of St Michael's Evangelical Luthern Church Germantown (also now part of Philadelphia) went to spelling the surname drollinger, Trollinger and Trullinger. This is confusing to say the least and future researchers need to be aware of this spelling quirk.  tree1

8123 I3982  Drollinger  Andrew James "Andy"  18 Feb 1985  15 Mar 2012  (Ref photo of Andy attached to his obituary)
Andy Drollinger, 27, of Onalaska found a quiet place on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
He was born Feb. 18, 1985, in Milwaukee to Jerry and Robin (Gilles) Drollinger and graduated from Logan High School in 2004. Andy enjoyed hiking to the library and spending hours reading Sci Fi. He liked to express his knowledge to others with a cold diet dew in one hand and a peanut butter sandwich in the other hand. Growing up he took extra pleasure with pets and his nieces and nephews. His kindness and thoughtfulness will be dearly missed.
Andy is survived by his father, Jerry (Colleen) Drollinger of La Crosse; his mother, Robin (Randy) Schneider of La Crosse; three sisters, Corey Meyer of La Crosse, Amanda Schneider of Whitehall, and Angela Drollinger of La Crosse; three brothers, Jesse Schneider of Winona, Nick Zenon and Shane Zenon both of La Crosse; his paternal grandmother, Ann Drollinger of La Crosse; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a lifelong friend Joe Winjum.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Drollinger; maternal grandparents, Bob and Bubsy Gilles; and a cousin, Jeanne Stover.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S. La Crosse with the Rev. Don Drollinger officiating. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home. An online guestbook is available at www.schumacher-kish.com.

John W. Drollinger was the second Superintendent of the Clinton Sunday School from 1 Aug 1897 to 31 Dec 1899 (the school was organized 10 Jul 1892). Lizzie Drollinger served as secretary from 11 Sep 1898 to 31 Dec 1899.
(Note: I believe the John W. Drollinger mentioned above is the same person as John Wesley Drollinger because he would be of an appropriate age and there is evidence he lived in the Clinton, Utah area. It is possible that Lizzie could be his daughter, Ann Elizabeth who would have been about fourteen years old at the time she was performing her secretarial duties)
